Born in 1976 in Zurich, Switzerland, Andreas Eggler grew up near Lucerne and moved to Fribourg after graduating, where he studied history and german literature. From 2000-2015 he worked as a teacher at the Preparatory Courses for studies in Switzerland and different other schools. Since 2000 he has been realizing photo and film projects. In 2015 he moved to Athens, Greece, where he works as a freelance photographer and filmmaker. He still regularly returns to Switzerland, for teaching and as the official photographer for the international theatre festival FRISCENES in Fribourg.
